Mr. James Jones Interviewed by Krystal Sundin, 2010
This interveiw took place at the home of James Jones on May 11th, 2010.
Mr. Jones grew up in Spokane, Washington. He lied about his age at the age of 17 so that he could be drafted into the war. At the time, James was living in Colville, WA. He was shipped out of Seattle, WA after his basic training was complete.
James went from Seattle to Hawaii where he began his war journey. Then after traveling, he had a enough points to return home. When James returned, he went back to school to be a pilot supported by the GI Bill. After he finished school, he never did get a job as a pilot because they didn't want to hire anyone without any experience.
Mr. Jones is now retired and lives in Pendleton, Oregon.
